What have I observed today?

Just a random post to keep myself blogging on a daily basis.

Today, I commenced a new project with a new client. It appears to me that the company employs quite a fair bit of foreign talents. After communicating with them, I had the impression that they are up to the job. Not that I looked at them with colored lens but I felt sad about it. Some Singaporeans can’t match up to them.

On a separate issue, my friend had been telling me that FTs are smarter and more diligent than us. Guess it’s time to reflect on ourselves and buck up. The world doesn’t stop spinning for us, so let’s stop whining and start some real action. It’s our life after all, nothing’s gonna change if we don’t change ourselves :)

Random Update

I am really lazy to blog, hence it shall be a photo blog today.

Omg... Becky, what happened to you?

For those whose heart skipped a beat, she's fine. It's just a parallax effect :P

My dinner for Friday.

My dinner for Friday.

If you’re thinking that TZ will slim down from eating my cooking, here’s the disappointing part. This is my lonely (and healthy) dinner on Friday. TZ had classes on that night. I’ll prepare this dish for him on another day. Yay! He can run, but he can’t hide… muahahaha

What have I learnt today?

Let’s see if I can sustain a habit of blogging the new things I’ve learned daily. It shall be anything under the sun (hopefully I’ll blog about cooking, although chances seems low :P ).

Today, I’ve learned how to tie a shoe lace properly :) Haha, let’s re-learn the basics! Nice short video and that explains the inconsistencies in the look of my shoe laces.

On the productivity side, I’ve learnt that Google Reader is a good tool to keep track of all the sites I’ve been trying to keep updated with. I like the simplicity of the reader and the ease of receiving updates from multiple different sites without visiting them directly. I’m lazy :P

I’ve also learned about the Microsoft Office OneNote. For those who likes to keep notes electronically, I do recommend you to give OneNote a try. I chanced upon it at work yesterday. It is a joke that I had it installed for months and it took me so long to be bothered to find out what is it about. Thank goodness that I saw it. I like the way it allows notes to be classified, especially the sub-classifications. It is like a one-stop shop where I can find my notes easily without opening multiple files or write everything in one big file. In case you’re wondering if everything is saved to a single file, fret not. For each parent category you’ve created, OneNote creates a new .one file, so I guess it kind of reduces the risk of losing your data/latest changes due to file corruption. Give it a try, if you find what I’ve wrote is interesting enough to tempt you. Hehe

After reading through what I’ve wrote, this post sounds like a marketing post. Haha!
